The Hisense Junsong Club House, designed by David Ma, draws inspiration from tea art, collection, calligraphy, and painting. The design aims to create a space that embodies traditional Chinese culture and exudes an elegant and refined ambiance. The theme color "green," commonly found in traditional Chinese landscape paintings, is used throughout the space to establish a cohesive and authentic atmosphere.
The project utilizes natural marble and washed etching technology to enhance the natural texture and provide a tactile experience. The walls are adorned with wood finishes featuring serrated indented surface textures, adding a touch of simplicity and elegance that complements the traditional Chinese cultural atmosphere. Metal hollow backgrounds featuring ginkgo leaf patterns offer a modern interpretation of traditional motifs. Additionally, silk cloth screens depicting traditional landscape paintings add a poetic and artistic touch to the space.
With an area of 400 square meters, the Hisense Junsong Club House is a modern interpretation of Chinese style. It combines elements of traditional culture with contemporary design techniques, resulting in a private space that showcases both artistic and humanistic customs. The design aims to provide visitors with a profound experience of leisure, the joy of life, and the beauty of art.
Located in Qingdao, China, the project was completed in July 2022. Throughout the design process, the integration of required functions into the modern architectural space posed a challenge. The designer successfully overcame this challenge by employing modern expression techniques to incorporate traditional Chinese elements. The metal lattice layout featuring ginkgo leaf shapes adds complexity and visual interest to the space.
The Hisense Junsong Club House has been recognized for its exceptional design. It was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2023. This prestigious award is given to well-designed, practical, and innovative creations that meet professional and industrial requirements. The design is respected for its integration of industry best practices, competent technical characteristics, and its contribution to a better world.
